Hexi Gold Mine Held Non-coal Mine Emergency Rescue Drilling

On July 10, 10:00 am, a practical emergency rescue drilling of simulated mine fire proposed, organized and directed by Wang Zhiqiang, Board Chairman of Hexi Gold Mine was conducted in No. Eight Mine in Hexi Gold Mine in order to meet the requirements of safety production in non-coal mines and enhance the rescue ability in emergency and ensure that rescue can be organized promptly and effectively once accident happens so the loss caused by accident can be reduced to the minimum degree. Mr. Wang, the commander in chief of the rescue drilling, together with members of Penglai coal mine rescue team the third locus, completed the rehearsal successfully.

At that day, Liu Xiaojie, Deputy Mayor of Yantai Government, Zhang Jiansheng, Director of Safety Supervision Bureau, Zhang Guoshun, Deputy Director of Safety Supervision Bureau, Zhang Dailing, Mayor of Penglai City Government, Du Kangsheng, Standing Deputy Mayor of Penglai City Government, Yu Jiming, Secretary of the Municipal Legal Committee, Tian Li, Vise Director of Municipal National People’s Congress. Vise President of Municipal CPPCC and Director of Municipal Public Security Bureau, Zhong Hongjie, Director of Municipal Safety Supervision Bureau, Nie Hongshun, Director of Land and Resources Bureau, Chen Jiuquan, Manager of Gold Company and Director of Daliuxing Town Party Committee, Li Qiang, Head of Daliuxing Town, deputy heads of relevant towns, stationmasters of Safety Supervision Stations, and mine managers and chiefs of safety divisions of mines around the city sat in on the drilling.

The drilling, the first rescue rehearsal of Penglai City, lasted for 45 minutes and ended successfully. Leaders all thought highly of it for it provided precious experience for future non-coal mine rescue work in Penglai.
